Benet Beci was sworn in this Monday as the mayor of Shkodra for the next four years. In his speech at the first meeting of the municipal council, he stated that the Municipality of Shkodra will be the municipality where duties and not privileges are divided. 

He added that the trust they received from the citizens is a strong guarantee for his success, adding that it doesn't matter how far the citizens are, as there will be an opportunity to work for all of them. 

"First, allow me to congratulate all the councillors as well as the two vice-chairs for the task. Today I have the great pleasure and privilege to be chosen by you as the first citizen of Shkodra, but in fact I would like to be the first citizen of Shkodra for more, the first worker of Shkodra, the first servant of Shkodra. 

The path we will take together will undoubtedly have difficulties. For Shkodra to capture and anticipate the future. We must work to improve the quality of life, promoting ideas and initiatives. The trust that our citizens have given us is a strong guarantee for our success. It does not matter how far from the municipality the citizens are. 

We will find the best opportunity for us to work for all of them. This is the municipality of the people of Shkodra who have decided to be here and the door is open to everyone. From today we are at their service with dignity, rules and dedication. This will be the municipality where duties are divided and not where privileges are divided. For us, Shkodra is the first", said Beci.
