Democrat Attacks Ex-PM Ahead of May 14th Elections

Acting Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Enkelejd Alibeaj has assailed this Tuesday former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, questioning the latter's financial sources for the funding of May 14th polls' electoral campaign.

Through the social networks, Alibeaj underlined that Berisha must deal with the Special Prosecution against Organized Crime and Corruption, as he accused the Former PM of hiding money for the last 33 years.

"For two days, the political speakers of non-women for massive corruption and undermining democracy, Sali Berisha, and the media funded by him and his family, have started an attack on me, just because I raised a simple question , which is actually a question that all Albanians ask:

Where does Sali Berisha find the money, who has been booking stadiums, booking halls all over Albania for a year and a half, paying buses and people to fill these halls, paying the media to be live 24 hours even though he is not legally the president of no political party?

But Sali Berisha and his media and political soldiers, instead of answering this question and making their money transparent, as always, in the style of the politics of hatred and mud, in his style of the politician who has already ended, has turned his political and media yard into the shield of a man unwanted by the West for massive corruption and undermining democracy.

Everyone in line, to their shame, competes to see who shouts the loudest, who insults the most in the name of their master.

I understand their plight very well. Every time money is mentioned, Sali Berisha and his media trenches in his border, howl, shout and insult anyone who asks for accountability and transparency. I understand very well that they feel scared.

They are all in line for SPAK. In fact, the issue of money and financing did not bother them, because they have been hiding it for 33 years in cooperation with their media, but why Erion Veliaj, their political and economic partner, asked the same question", declared Alibeaj.
