Democratic Party (DP) Member of Parliament, Luciano Boci has dwelt Wednesday in the lack of funding for the teaching branch at the University of Elbasan and warned that Albania’s society will face shortcoming in teachers after 10 years.

From the Education Commission, Boçi stressed that education has been lost in Elbasan, Shkodra and Gjirokastra, due to the lack of financial packages.

Among other things, Boçi asked the Minister of Education, what the financial packages are to save higher education.

"It takes 8 years to produce a teacher. An extraordinary investment. For 10 years a doctor comes out. Today we no longer have a teacher production.

After 10 years this society will have a teaching crisis and there will be no more teachers. Get excellent, pay to protect branches for new teachers. Take the excellent ones.

Look at the salaries for lecturers because they are miserable. "You forgot about the students and the financial support for them", underlined the Democrat.
