Democrats Commemorate Shkodra Demonstration's Martyrs
Democrats have commemorated this Sunday through a ceremony the 4 martyrs of Shkodra's democracy, who lost died in the demonstration of April 2, 1991.
During the ceremony attended by Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and Mayor Bardh Spahia, a minute of silence was held in honor of the 4 fallen.
In 1991, at a protest against the manipulation of the elections that took on March 31 of the same year, four boys were killed: Arben Broci, Bujar Bishanaku, Nazmi Kryeziu and Besnik Ceka, while dozens of others were injured.
Shkodra lost its four citizens, idealists full of hope for Albania where democracy was expected to come, but their deaths were never solved.
