The Director of Civil Status, Vangjush Stavro in Albania was discharged this Wednesday.

Six months ahead of the parliamentary elections, Stavro was removed from this position, while the Minister of Interior Affairs is expected to appoint the new director.

Albaniandailynews.com learned that his discharge came after a debate that he had with the National Agency of the Information Society for a tender for the "Maintenance of the National Register of Civil Status".
