DP’s Chair Keeps Claiming Power-Crime Coop in Albania after Loss in April 25

Crime and politics have become one in Albania, declared Sunday the Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Lulzim Basha as he quoted the famous anti-mafia judge, Paolo Borselino, “crime and politics exercise control over the same space. They cannot be at peace with each other, but only in war with each other or else one of them has won".

The Opposition Leader made these remarks in his tour of post-electoral meetings in the city of Elbasan, with party structures there, while speaking of the so-called “electoral massacre”.

According to Basha, this term stands for the city of Elbasan, which unlike the past was known as a city of Normal and Summer Day, today has become a place where crime and riots prevail, just like the highest heads of law enforcement institutions in the country have been forced to admit.

“For all those who do not believe or do not want to believe that April 25 was the day of the elections stolen by the Rama-Doshi regime, the biggest electoral massacre and the biggest vote theft in 30 years of pluralism history, come to Elbasan, and see how the chief of police of the country, who is in fact the chief of police of Edi Rama, defended the gangs that attacked to terrorize, to buy and to threaten the citizens of Elbasan with their pistols with chromed barrels, which did not hesitate put in the head and local leaders of the Elbasan police.

To those who do not yet understand or pretend not to understand the real scale of the April 25 election massacre, I tell you to come to Elbasan and see how the prosecutor tried to hide the evidence seized in flagrante delicto of election materials, of mass buying and selling by criminal gangs which have overwhelmed the police, institutions and completely control the city and district of Elbasan”, stated Basha.
