The request of the Democratic Party, which was filed this Friday in the Headship of the Parliament, for the establishment of the Investigative Committee for the McGonigal case, is revealed. 

44 MPs have signed the said letter filed by the DP vice chairman, Luciano Boçi and Albana Vokshi, while 5 requests are asked. 

DP REQUEST FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF INVESTIGATIVE COMMITTEE: 

Object:

It is requested to set up the Investigative Committee of the Parliament "For the verification of legality of: 

(i) Prime Minister Edi Rama's contacts and relations with FBI special agent Charles McGonigal, with citizen Dorian Ducka and former State Security agent Agron Neza, as well as their involvement in relations and interaction with FBI Special Agent Charles McGonigal and Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska; 

(ii) Inducing, influencing, ordering, using, including through the promise and offering of favours, bribes, or public property, to an FBI special agent Charles McGonigal and/or other agents involved, for political gain of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the attack or political damage of the Albanian Opposition; 

(iii) Allowing, facilitating and favouring doing business in Albania, including the granting of permits, licenses, and state authorizations by the Government or entities of Albanian state, for the investments of the Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, person close to Vladimir Putin and simultaneously under sanctions from the US;

(iv) Opening and development of business activities in Albania of the special agent of the FBI Charles McGonigal;

(v) Business relations in Albania carried out by, or between citizens, 
Oleg Deripaska, Charles McGonigal, Dorian Ducka, Mark Thomas Rossini, Agron Neza, Shefqet Dizdari, including all partners, associates and representatives of the latter, with local or foreign companies in Albania, or with Albanian state institutions". 

Article 77 of the Constitution of Albania, Article 25 of the Rules of the Parliament, as well as Law No. 8891, dated 02.05.2002 "On the organization and functioning of the Investigative Commissions of the Parliament", as amended.
