Internal Affairs and Complaints (SHCBA) have provided this Saturday full information about the anti-drug operation that took place last night in Tirana, where a member of special forces RENEA was detained together with four other people. 

The arrested are Real Luli, 27 years old (RENEA forces member), Jurgen Vaid Luli, 30, Gertjan Harapi, 26. While the prosecuted are Gevi Spahia, 27, and Ergi Sala, 26. (Read also)

At the end of the investigation on the operation dated 20.08.2021 of the SHCBA on cracking down on a group of narcotics distributors with 5 accompanied in flagrante delicto, among them 1 police officer we announce that: 

SHCBA Regional Directorate Tirana, in function of criminal proceedings no. 5520 of 2021, directed by the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Tirana, has conducted investigations in a period of several months with special investigation methods and as a result, has cracked down on a criminal group of narcotics traffickers operating mainly in the city of Tirana, based on Articles 283/2, 278 and 248 of the Criminal Code. 

On 20.08.2021 around 19:30 in the area called "Former Bus Park", in the territory of the Municipal Unit no. 7 of the city of Tirana, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:

- R.L., 27 years old, police officer in the special unit "RENEA"; 
- J.L., 30 years old; 
- G.S., 27, previously convicted of attempted murder. 

Two citizens are also being prosecuted on their own recognizance:
- G.H., 26 years old; 
- E.S., 26 years old, previously arrested for the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics". 

Their detention and arrest come as a result of documenting with legal evidence of the illegal activity that they carried out in collaboration with each other. From the control carried out in the premises and the apartments that were available, illegal items and objects were found and seized as material evidence as follows: 

- 434 gr of cocaine; 
- 576 gr of cannabis, packaged; 
- 100.6 gr of narcotic substance of the type "Ecstasy" packaged; 
- 18.2 gr seeds suspected of cultivating narcotic plants; 
- 7 scales and materials used for the distribution and packaging of narcotics; 
- Monetary value 11,890 euros; 
- 3 pistol type firearms of BRUNI and GLOCK brands; 
- A metal comb inside which were 20 cartridges Mod 56; 
- 219 combat bullets of various types; 
- 1 Benz type vehicle; 
- 7 mobile phones; 
- A device with the inscription "GRANADE FLASH-BANG BRZ-M93 P1 TM-1403", together with its metal mechanism type mass; 
- 2 motorcycles (without license plate). 

Investigative and procedural work continues regarding the documentation and possible implication for other persons involved in this activity. The procedural materials related to the criminal activity committed by the prosecuted and arrested citizens were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance in Tirana.
