Antidrug of the Kosovo Police and the Directorate for the Investigation of Narcotics Trafficking, after a ten-month investigation, found a laboratory of drugs.

During the control, a quantity of drugs of the heroin and cocaine types and tools for the processing of narcotic substances were found, as well as a quantity of drugs in a solid state of about 7 kilograms.

The prosecutor in the Department of Serious Crimes at the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Prishtina, Bashkim Zeqaj, said that this action was the result of an ongoing investigation by the prosecution and the police, and as a result, two people were arrested.

"We are in a residential facility where it is suspected of a laboratory that has served for the processing of narcotics, we are collecting evidence... We are collecting all the evidence from the scene. We currently have two people detained for criminal offenses related to narcotics and we are conducting further investigations in the course of this event that for now we can see some jars and some other elements filled with some preparations but for the type of narcotics we will expertise is done by the Forensic Agency", he said.

He added that they will continue the investigation of the case for possible persons related to this case.

"It can be seen that these preparations are very dangerous and this type of laboratory is in a residential area, we have here the faculty, the nursery school and we also found tracking devices, which were used for the processing of narcotics", said Zeqaj.

Meanwhile, the director of Anti-Drugs, Reshat Murseli, told KosovaPress that the two suspects were arrested at the scene and that the car for transporting drugs, as well as other tools, was also seized.
"Last night, our units arrested two suspects at the scene while they were trying to remove some of the tools used to commit this criminal offense. A clandestine laboratory for the crime of narcotic substances has been identified here, which are suspected to be of various types, but in particular heroin and cocaine... 3:36 At the moment, part of this substance is in a liquid state, it is difficult to determine the amount, but in solid form it is a quantity of 5 to 7 kg approximately. 4:00 A car was also seized, which was used as a means of committing the criminal offense, there is nothing at the moment, only the tools that enable a laboratory of such a level, plastic tools, various acids, tools that are used to dry the liquid", Murseli emphasized.

Regarding the case, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Sveçla, also reacted.

"Today's laboratory is the 19th destroyed in the last three years, 40 criminal groups involved in this activity have been destroyed and more than 2.500 kilograms of various types of drugs have been seized. This battle will continue and no one will be invulnerable and powerful before the law. This phenomenon that endangers the lives of the children of our youth and that destroys the harmony in the families of our country, will be hit continuously and mercilessly by us. All criminals, of all colors, are told that there is no space for their criminal activity in Kosovo. Behind the bars is the place for them", he wrote on Facebook.
It is suspected that this "Laboratory" for the processing of heroin and cocaine-type narcotic substances was used by the suspects for a period of time, where after processing the same substances, they package them in small doses for sale in different regions of the country. KSP
