Former mayor of Bulqiza, Lefter Alla, was released from jail.

He ended the two year in prison sentence after was condemned by the Special Prosecution against Corruption (SPAK) for abuse of duty.

Alla, in cooperation with the former officials of the municipality, favored two companies during the public procurement procedure, with the aim that the works for the aqueduct will then be carried out by the company 'OE 2AF Albania shpk', which is under the administration of the relative of Alla, Aqif Konesha. The companies that won the tender were 'BOE Egland shpk' and 'BE-IS shpk'.
