Entrepreneur Fatmir Bektashi Appears at SPAK

At a time when attention was focused on former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, whether or not he will go to SPAK (Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime), the entrepreneur Fatmir Bektashi has appeared at the premises of the Special Prosecutor's Office.

Bektashi is accused of corruption and money laundering in the case of the privatization of the former Partizani complex. He is under a security measure of "obligation to appear", as is former PM Sali Berisha.

Berisha and his daughter's husband, Jarmarbër Malltezi, are under investigation for corruption by the Special Prosecutor's Office as they are suspected of having received 5.4 million euros in the form of payment in exchange for government actions in favor of Homeplan and Magnet companies.

The co-owner of these companies, Fatmir Bektashi, is also under investigation. According to the prosecution, Malltezi managed to transform a modest inheritance of 113.7 m2 of land into a fortune of millions of euros through secret contracts and Berisha's decisions in favor of his business.
