Ex-judge, Alaudin Malaj Officially Arrested on Domestic Violence Charge
Former judge ofthe Court of Appeals, Alaudin Malaj is officially arrested this Saturday, a day after he was accompanied to police for a conflict with his son on the street.
His arrest was made after one of his sons, made criminal charges against him in the Commissariat No.2 in Capital. He was arrested for repeated domestic violence, violence in the presence of the minors and even for objecting police officers.
One day ago he was escorted this Friday to the police station due to a family conflict.
He had a conflict with his son regarding the ownership of a car, while during the escort he also resisted the police forces.
The former judge has insulted and offended the police officers several times, while they have shown restraint and accompanied him to the premises of the police station.
Alaudin Malaj has been described as the richest former judge in Albania, while in 2015 High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets and Conflict of Interests sued him for concealing and money laundering amounting to 1.7 million euros.
In August of 2020, the Tirana court issued a restraining order for his wife, asking the former judge to stay away from her.
