Fier Prosecution Takes Man to Court for Domestic Violence, Sexual Harassment, and Maltreatment of the Minor
Fier Prosecutor’s Office concluded the investigations and took to court the citizen A.R. on charges of “Domestic Violence”, “Sexual Harassment”, and “Maltreatment of Minors” as stipulated in articles 130/a/4, 108/a/2, and 24/b/1 of the Criminal Code.
The investigation into criminal case no. 1755 of 2024 was initiated after B.R. requested a Protection Order from Fier District Court. The judge found the claims made by the citizen to have criminal elements and, therefore, referred the case to Fier Prosecution Office.
The prosecution, in cooperation with the judicial police, conducted an investigation following the referral and established that citizen A.R. has repeatedly engaged in spousal violence and ongoing maltreatment, escalating to acts of sexual harassment against the minor—the child from A.R.'s first marriage.
Fier Prosecutor's Office, upon completing the investigation, has submitted for trial the criminal case against citizen A.R., charged with "Domestic Violence" against citizen B.R., as well as "Sexual Harassment" and "Maltreatment of a Minor" against the minor R.Ç., as stipulated in Articles 130/a/4, 108/a/2, and 124/b/1 of the Criminal Code.
Fier Prosecutor's Office remains fully committed to the swift investigation and prosecution of domestic violence offenses, ensuring accountability and prevention of more serious incidents undermining the dignity and well-being of citizens.
