Fisnik Qose, a member and sympathizer of the Democratic Party (DP), announced Wednesday that he will be part of the so-called primaries, which are expected to be organized DP's Head, Sali Berisha to then compete for becoming the Mayor of Kavaja Municipality during the local elections of 14 May 2023. 

On the social networks, Qose underlined that he decided to enter the primaries, as he feels that he can serve his city and the residents of the Administrative Units Golem, Synej, Luz and Helmas. 

"Under these conditions, I decided to become part of this process, to give my contribution, by entering this competition, where I am sure that we will all emerge victorious. Nothing will change if everyone stays doing sehri. I feel that I can serve, I can help my city, where I was born, where I have my family, and where I am raising my son. I am confident that I can humbly serve the wonderful residents of the Administrative Units of Golem, Synej, Little Luz and Helmas. I want to be the voice of hundreds of thousands of Kavaja immigrants, wherever they are abroad, creating sincere bridges of cooperation in the interest of the development and prosperity of our Municipality". 

A few days ago, Isa Sakja, the former mayor of Kavaja, announced his candidacy to be part of the race to take over the leadership of the democrats' stronghold. 

Sakja underlined that he will not be part of the Primaries, but will compete to take the leadership of Kavaja. 

"After consultations and meetings with you, who support and inspire me, I decided to announce my candidacy for the post of Mayor of Kavaja. 

None of us can endure this blockage of democracy as stuck in a traffic that no longer moves due to the low governing capacity, the great greed of the governors to take everything for themselves and a small group of oligarchs that surrounds them. 

Competitive elections produce democracy. 

All of life is the pursuit of a goal, the only choice we can make is to choose the right goal. 

On May 14, 2023, we, the people of Kavaja, have chosen our goal: we will restore democracy to local government. 

We will restore the right relationship with every citizen and interest group and they will make decisions only through extensive consultation with citizens and in their public interest. 

Dare to compete to represent you, your interests, your democratic spirit is for me an obligation and a mission at the same time, which starts today and will end on May 14 with your victory in Kavaja Municipality. 

Because together we have the courage, we have the positive energy, we have the love for the city, we have the experience, so we will also have the VICTORY!
