Former New York Mayor Eric Adams Registers as Resident in Tirana
Eric Adams, the former mayor of New York City, has officially been registered as a resident of Administrative Unit No. 2 in Tirana.
The development comes just days after Adams was granted Albanian citizenship. According to official information released, he has completed residency registration procedures in the Albanian capital and has also applied for an Albanian passport, as shown in photos shared publicly.
Florian Pullazi, head of Administrative Unit No. 2, welcomed Adams at the local offices and described him as “the newest resident of the unit” in a social media post.
In his statement, Pullazi highlighted Adams as a long-time friend of Albanians and noted his background as a former captain in the New York Police Department, emphasizing his focus on public safety throughout his political career.
Adams, who has also served as a U.S. senator, reportedly described obtaining Albanian citizenship as a reflection of his close ties with the Albanian people.
