Huge natural gas leakage was recorded this Monday at a gas station on the Kruja-Fushë-Kruja road segment, near the Hoxha neighborhood.

Local media have reported that the leak was of quite large proportions and its cause is suspected to have been a broken gasket.

However, the gas leak seriously endangered the explosion of the canister of several thousand liters of gas, which would bring devastating consequences in the surrounding residential area.

Fortunately, there were no consequences on people or material damage as the intervention in record time of the Kruja fire brigade, enabled the isolation of the gas leak and cooling of the tank with water and foam.
