New Prefect of Gjirokastra County Odise Kote was presented Saturday by Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Bledi Cuci and the MP of this district. Kote had pretended even in 2017 this job, but his appointment was refused by Prime Minister Edi Rama.

In Prefect’s position, Kote replaced Astrit Aliaj since he was confirmed Head of the Regional Directorate of Regional Social Insurance three years ago.

By the end of November 2017, the now Prefect of Gjirokastra was Chair of Social Insurance Directorate, where he had replaced Spiro Diamanti. Kote has held the post of Deputy Mayor of Gjirokastra, both in the administration of Flamur Bime and in that of Zamira Rami.
