Government Replaces Head of Classified Information Security Authority
Government has removed Altin Jani from his position as director-general of the National Authority for the Security of Classified Information, appointing Ermal Jauri as his successor.
Jani had led the authority, formerly known as DSIK, for the past two years. He joined the institution in 2012 after previous experience in the private sector and was appointed director-general in April 2024.
During his career at the authority, Jani headed the Industrial Security Sector, contributing to the development of policies, implementation of procedures, state oversight and security awareness related to classified information, including state secrets, NATO and European Union information, as well as information belonging to foreign states and other international organizations.
Under a decision of Albania’s Council of Ministers, Ermal Jauri has now been appointed director-general of the National Authority for the Security of Classified Information.
The decision took effect immediately and was published in Albania’s Official Gazette.
