The Albanian government is planning to create a new ministry, for science and scientific research. 

In a project deposited in Parliament, Government plans to invest more in scientific research.

This ministry will draft policies in the field of science and scientific research, while on the other hand it will proposes the budget financing model for science and scientific research. 

"Article 8 provides for the role of the ministry. The ministry is the responsible institution that designs, directs, coordinates and implements the policies of the governing program in the field of science and scientific research. The Ministry evaluates the research activity of scientific research institutions, financed with public funds, in accordance with the legal and bylaws in force, as well as administers the National Register of Institutions, Institutes, Special Units of Scientific Research and Scientific Researchers, in accordance with this law," says project.
