Albania’s “Butrinti” ship carried out a rescue operation in the Aegean Sea, coming to the aid of a dinghy boat 16 migrants on board among them two children.

The Navy reported that during patrol in the Aegean Sea in the early hours of this morning, rescued 13 migrants.

The rescue operation was conducted in close cooperation with the Greek and Turkish Coast Guards, and ended without any incident.

This is the fourth SAR operation conducted by the Albanian ship.
