The Argentinian football star, Lionnel Messi will be in Tirana for all his fans in a very special way. The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is being painted in a mural by Argentinian artist Maximiliano Bagnasco.

The mural is being created on the facade of one of the dormitory buildings of the University of Medicine. 

Maximiliano Bagnasco is a well-known name in the field of art. His most famous work is the mural of Maradona, which he made in Naples, Italy. He says that he likes Tirana very much. 

"They invited me to come to Tirana because they liked my work. I am happy to be here, I was also in Kosovo. It will take me at least 10 more days to finish it all.” 

While working on the facade, the artist attracts the attention of the citizens. 

Painter Helidon Haliti tells why Lionel Messi was chosen.

This work of art is being realized as part of "Mural Fest Tirana". This activity takes place in the capital as an initiative of the Department of Decoration from the Municipality of Tirana.
