Interior Minister Taulant Balla, during the meeting with the leadership structures of the Elbasan Local Police, declared that law enforcement should only stand by the citizens' side. 

"I am here to guide you, listening to you, supporting you and I will go down myself to demand responsibility in every office of the Commissariat. I ask you to commit like never before in Elbasan in the fight against crime. The deaf ear and the blind eye, the complicit silence with the 'strong' of the neighbourhood and the non-reaction of the law enforcement forces to the citizens' denunciations, are an alignment of the Police against them, an opposition to the state", stressed Balla. 

According to him, any manager or employee in a basic role who betrays the Police in its mission, will not have a place in the blue ranks. 

"Whoever will not show the willingness to go beyond himself, increasing the contribution to the common cause, will find it impossible to stay in the position he has in the State Police", declared the Minister of the Interior Balla.
