An Italian court has sentenced the so-called Albanian 'drug lady' Jona Mullaraj to three years and eight months in prison. Mullaraj, an entrepreneur based in Italy living in Saronno, known for her support of Matteo Salvini's Lega Nord party, was arrested by carabinieri in early December last year after being caught with 450 kilograms of hashish and marijuana.

Meanwhile, the lawyer of the Albanian Jona Mullaraj has stated that she will appeal the decision in the Court of Appeals. As it resulted from the investigations of the Italian police and prosecution, the Albanian woman was the possessor of 450 kilograms of drugs.
The drugs were found in a garage of Cesano Maderno in via de Medici, where it was rented and the contract was signed by another woman, write the Italian media. The owner of the warehouse where the narcotics were kept, said that Jona Mullaraj often came to get the keys.
