Late Klodian Rasha.

Killed by Police, Father of Klodian Rasha Slams Albanian State

Today marks the anniversary of the murder of Klodian Rasha, who was shot dead by former police officer Nevaldo Hajdaraj on December 8, 2020.

On this day his father in a statement to the media said that he wishes such a tragedy not to happen to anyone. He recalled the course of events accusing the state for trying to tarnish the image of his son.

The father of Klodian Rasha, Qazim Rasha, has warned that if the state doesn't find and punish those who tried to cover the crime, then he himself will search for these persons.

"I pray to God that such tragedies do not exist in any country in the world, it wounded my soul, it broke my heart, this was the reason why the first day I asked you not to imagine this kind of wound. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has expressed interest in my family. I believe that there are no species in the world that can imagine that in 2020 a father, much less a highlander like me, play or imagine selling or buying the blood of his own child.

In my house I have waited and accompanied a large number of people, I am grateful for everyone, whether citizens or government officials. It is the duty of the state to do what it has done so far. The most essential thing I ask is the clarification of the incrimination that certain persons or certain segments tried to incriminate the child and go so far as to throw a weapon saying that it belonged to my son. It is good for the state to find the involved person as I have not decided to find him myself. I ask God that such tragedies and wounds do not happen to anyone," he said.

The court of Tirana sentenced 10 years in prison in July 2021 Nevaldo Hajdaraj, the police officer who killed Klodian Rasha on December 8, 2020, with a bullet in the back after they quarreled with each other only because he violated the curfew.
