Korça Police forces have handcuffed three people, one of whom had been declared wanted for the criminal offense "Assistance in illegal border crossing".

While the other two citizens were detained for criminal offenses committed against state authority, public order and smuggling of goods.

“Specialists for Investigation of Illegal Trafficking and Narcotics at the Local Police Directorate of Korça, in cooperation with the services of the Pogradec Police Commissariat, detained the wanted citizen S.F., 32 years old, resident in Pogradec (with a previous criminal record in the field of crimes against the freedom of the person).

His detention was made after the Court of the Pogradec Judicial District, with the decision of 14.05.2021, has imposed for this citizen the security measure "Prison arrest" for the criminal offense "Assistance in illegal border crossing", committed in collaboration.

Specialists of the Traffic Police Sector in Korça, made the arrest in flagrante delicto of the citizen E. L., 39 years old, resident in Korça.

The above citizen was caught in the neighbourhood no. 3, driving a motor vehicle type "Lifan" without a driving license, without the relevant documentation and at the moment of escort to the premises of the Commissariat, the 39-year-old, opposed the police officers.

Specialists for the Investigation of Economic-Financial Crime made the arrest in flagrante delicto of the citizen V. N., 61 years old, resident in the village of Diellas, Pustec.

He was caught in the neighbourhood no. 17, with a vehicle type "Volkswagen", trading food goods without the relevant documentation (invoice for the purchase of goods). From the further actions, during the control exercised in the warehouse that this citizen had in this market, other food goods suspected of being smuggled were found and seized as material evidence,” the police announce.

The materials in their charge were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Korça Court of First Instance for further actions.
