Kosovo Election Results Processed as Vote Counting Reaches 100%
The Central Election Commission (CEC) has confirmed that 100% of polling stations have been processed in its election results system, providing a preliminary picture of the country's new parliamentary composition.
According to the results, the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) received 42.91% of the vote, maintaining its position as the largest political force in Kosovo. The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) secured 21.12%, followed by the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) with 17.58%, while the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) received 7.16%.
Based on these preliminary results, Vetëvendosje is projected to win 48 seats in the 120-member Assembly of Kosovo. PDK is expected to secure 24 seats, LDK 20 seats, and AAK 8 seats.
Twenty seats in the Assembly are reserved for minority communities. The Serbian List received 6.18% of the vote and is projected to win 9 of the 10 seats reserved for the Serb community. The remaining Serb seat is expected to go to the party led by Nenad Raši?, the acting Minister for Communities and Returns.
The other 10 reserved seats will be distributed among non-Serb minority communities.
Meanwhile, the verification of political party votes and the counting of votes for parliamentary candidates has begun in 15 municipalities. The process started at 9:00 a.m. in Leposavi?, Novo Brdo, Obiliq, Shtime, Štrpce, Zubin Potok, Zve?an, Junik, Mamusha, Hani i Elezit, Gra?anica, Ranilug, Parteš, Klokot and North Mitrovica.
Vote counting in an additional 23 municipalities is scheduled to begin later in the day.
Election authorities have stated that the process is continuing according to established procedures, with final certification of results expected after the completion of all verification and counting stages.
