Kosovo Presidency Discloses Osmani-Lajcak Meeting

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received the EU's special envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, in a meeting in Pristina this Thursday. 

Through an announcement from the Presidency, it is known that Osmani has discussed with Lajcak about the dialogue between the two countries. 

Osmani told Lajçak that the final word about an agreement with Serbia should be given by the Assembly of Kosovo in accordance with the constitutional procedures. 

"Today, President Vjosa Osmani received the Special Representative of the European Union, Miroslav Lajcák, in a meeting. The meeting discussed the latest developments in the dialogue process with Serbia, in which case President Osmani reiterated that the Republic of Kosovo remains committed to a process that contributes to long-term peace, security and sustainable prosperity in the region. President Osmani emphasized that the annex of the implementation of the basic agreement, agreed in Brussels, should be in the spirit of the principles approved in the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo, namely, the inviolability of the sovereignty, territorial integrity, constitutionality and functionality of the state of Kosovo. 

Furthermore, President Osmani said that Kosovo remains a constructive party in the dialogue process and coordinated with its partners, while reiterating that the final word on an agreement should be given by the Parliament of Kosovo in accordance with constitutional procedures. President Osmani has also welcomed today's decision of the Council of the European Union, which unanimously approved the right of Kosovo citizens to travel to the countries of the Schengen zone without a visa", the announcement states.
