Kurbin, Residents Affected by Earthquake Protest in Front of Municipality
Unconstructed houses and delays in obtaining the rent bonus have raised in protest some families affected by the November 2019 earthquake in the Municipality of Kurbin.
They have gathered in front of the municipality to seek a solution to the situation. Those affected by the earthquake say that they have been requesting a meeting with the representatives of the municipality for 6 months to learn about the reconstruction process, but so far they have not been received by anyone.
"I am looking for Majlinda Cara, for days I come here to these girls and they tell me that she is not present. How is it possible that for 6 months the mayor does not make an appointment? When it was time to demolish the house she showed up. I have a paralyzed person, I also have orphans at home… Now they have not even given us a rent bonus. I have not received a rent bonus for a month and a half," a citizen said.
