Mansion of Ex-Deputy PM's Partner Seized by SPAK
Villa no. 22 in Hamallaj, which is registered in the name of Eriola Hoxha, the current partner of former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, has been seized by SPAK (Special Prosecution againsr Corruption) with the approval of the Special Court against Organized Crime and Corruption (GJKKO).
Earlier this Friday, the Special Prosecutor's Office seized a villa in the Palasa area, which is suspected to be owned by Ahmetaj's ex-wife, Albina Mancka.
This development comes three days after SPAK announced that the former deputy prime minister was officially under investigations for three criminal offences, such as "Abuse of duty", "Passive corruption" and "Cleaning of the proceeds of a criminal offence".
Ahmetaj is being investigated by the Special Prosecutor's Office regarding his involvement in the incinerators case.
A few days ago, he objected to the checks carried out in the apartment of his co-habitant, as well as the apartment of his ex-wife.
In the appeal, it was cited that the controls are in violation of the Constitution and violate the sovereignty of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania.
The control was carried out in a villa in the Hamallaj area, where 30 thousand euros and a number of documents related to this building were seized. Meanwhile, only a few documents were seized from the ex-wife's house.
