Brigadier General Ilir Xhebexhia will be the new commander of the Albanian Navy. 

The news is announced by the Minister of Defense, Olta Xhaçka, who wishes success to Xhebexhia as she emphasizes that she is confident in the continuation of the process of modernization in the Albanian Navy.

"The Navy will be led by Brigadier General Ilir Xhebexhia. I wish success to the new commander of Albanian Navy and I am confident in the right vision, for the continuation of the process of modernization and professionalism, starting from the investment in human resources, to the modernization with an armament of ships of the class 'Iliria', to the System of new Maritime Surveillance," Xhacka said.
