New Details about Murder in Shkoder: 120 Bullets Fired

New details have been revealed from the execution of Bardhok Pllanaj, known as 'Godfather' of Shkodra, in the village of "Dobraç i Ri" in the northern city of Shkodra.

Albaniandailynews.com learns that Pllanja was shot with two Kalashnikovs with around 120 bullets, while his "Range Rover" model car was moving. After the shooting, it is suspected that Pllanja's car walked in a free condition and collided with the sidewall of a business.

Meanwhile, a burnt car was found near the pumps in Dobraç. The vehicle model "Passat" had Italian license plates. Sources suggest that two weapons were found in the car, which are suspected to have been used in the execution of Pllanaj.

47-year-old Bardhok Pllanaj, described as the "Godfather" of Shkodra is a well-known name for the police.

Who is Bardhok Pllanaj?

He has recently been subject to OFL as a person convicted in Belgium for human trafficking. Pllanaj was also on trial in December 2018 for "money laundering", "forgery of documents" and "illegal construction". In December 2018, Pllanaj was arrested on charges of "Laundering the proceeds of crime", "Counterfeiting stamps, seals or forms", "Illegal construction".

During the investigations carried out at that time, it turned out that the facility built by Pllanaj was financed by income that is suspected to have come as a result of the criminal activity that Pllanaj had previously committed.

For this reason, the measure of property security was imposed by a court decision "Preventive confiscation", based on the Execution Order of the Criminal Decision no. 1169 dated 29.11.2018, for the 10-story building in the city of Shkodra in his ownership, and that captured the value of EUR 2 million.

In October 2019, Pllanaj broke the security measure "house arrest" that had been taken against him, leaving in the direction of Lushnja, where he was arrested again on charges of "Removal of a prisoner from his place of residence".

Pllanaj's name would be made public for the first time in 2014, during the police operation "Viluni Lagoon", where almost a ton of hashish was seized. Seven people were arrested, but Pllanaj managed to avoid capture.

According to the Democratic Party at the time, to escape the handcuffs, the trafficker hid in the vehicle of former MP Mark Frroku. At that time, MP Frroku denied helping Pllanaj to avoid arrest, but the report of the officers in the drug trafficking sector stated that the suspect under their surveillance moved from the bar "Antika" in Tirana to Lapraka with the vehicle Audi owned by the MP.
