New intersection will be opened as of this Friday afternoon at the former "Eagle" Square, as announced by the Albanian Road Authority (ARA).

According to the Road Authority, the movement of vehicles there will be regulated by traffic lights, contributing to the final traffic management plan for zero level.

“Today at 19:30 will be the opening of the intersection at the former "Eagle" Square under the traffic lights regime thus completing the final traffic management plan for zero level”, said ARA on the social networks.

Last weekend, the ARA informed that direction of the movement of vehicles on the “Great Ringroad” in Tirana will change as of Sunday due to the construction works that will be carried out in the lot no.3.

Vehicles traveling from Eagle Square in the direction of the “Palace with Arrows”, after exiting the underpass "Ozone", will deviate to the left using the new carriageway of the main road of Lot 3, avoiding the main axis to near the Overpass to the Palace of the Arrows, and then continuing according to the existing orientation.

Cars using the secondary road axis to the right will have no change of motion.

On the other hand, the vehicles that will come from the Overpass of the Palace with Arrows in the direction of “Teodor Keko” street, will deviate to the right using the new carriageway of the secondary road of Lot 3, thus avoiding the main axis until near the O-Zone underpass, e continuing then according to the existing orientation in Lot 2.

“Starting from Sunday, 17.04.2022, the direction of movement for vehicles in the Great Ring Road changes due to the works that are being carried out for the construction of Lot 3.

Vehicles coming from Eagle Square in the direction of the Palace with Arrows, after exiting the "Ozone" underpass, will deviate to the left using the new carriageway of the main road of Lot 3, thus avoiding the main axis to near the Overpass to the Palace of the Arrows, and then continuing according to the existing orientation.

Vehicles using the secondary road axis to the right will have no change of movement.

The vehicles that will come from the Overpass of the Palace with Arrows in the direction of “Teodor Keko” street, will deviate to the right using the new carriageway of the secondary road of Lot 3, thus avoiding the main axis until near the underpass of O-Zone, e continuing then according to the existing orientation in Lot 2.

For the vehicles that will have destination Yzberisht, Boulevard "Migjeni", "Kombinatin" there will be no changes in traffic.

We seek the understanding of residents and road users for these interventions that are being carried out on this axis until the full completion of this project”, informed the Road Authority.
