New Investment in Fier Power Substation
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, announced that the power substation in Fier has already been transformed and its capacities have been doubled, significantly improving the supply of electricity to the entire area.
Balluku shared on Thursday some information on the new investment carried out according to contemporary parameters, as she emphasized that "now the new power substation in Fier is complete".
The power substation in Fier is a strategically important project that is expected to be connected soon to the main power network of the southern region, with Rrashbullin and further through an underwater line to Italy, contributing to the strengthening of the network and the diversification of clean energy sources.
The investment made by the power distributor OSHEE included the construction and equipment of the substation at a new level of network sustainability.
The result of this investment is a doubling of capacities and the elimination of the historical problem of flooding in the area, thanks to modern technological support.
The Ministry of Energy has designed a series of other investments for the long-term development of the energy sector in our country. Work is currently underway at the Divjaka power substation, while interventions are planned in other units to improve energy supply and security throughout the region.
