New Police's Director Orders Officers to Catch Wanted Persons
New General Director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, has met Saturday with the central and local structures for familiarizing the officers with the goals, as well as addressing the problems and tasks, with the aim of immediately changing the situation.
During the meeting with the structures of the Durrës Local Directorate of Police and the Durrës Local Directorate for Border and Migration, Rrumbullaku asked the officers to apprehend wanted people, as well as for responsibility, professionalism, productivity, change in the work methodology of the leaders of the police structures, starting from the director and up to the heads of sections.
In the following, the General Director requested an immediate improvement in the quality of the results of the Economic Crime Investigation, Narcotics and Illegal Traffic Investigation and Serious Crime sections.
The General Director ordered: "Work on the basis of information, cooperate with citizens, with other law enforcement agencies and strike where the problem is. Fight organized crime and any other illegality found on the ground.
Locate and apprehend wanted persons, those circulating with firearms or narcotics.
Monitor and control persons with criminal tendencies in the areas of organized crime and serious crimes.
A good preventive work has been done in the field, to reduce the cultivation of narcotic plants in the territory of Durrës district, but more needs to be done to fight the attempts of indoor cultivation.
Police services in the field should increase their performance in terms of communicating with citizens or following up and solving problems that citizens have or address.

Furthermore, he asked the structures of DVKM Durrës to increase the authority, role and preventive and striking force of the Border Police in the port, as well as to fight cross-border crimes, cooperating with local Police structures and customs authorities.
