OSCE Ambassador meets new Head of SPAK
The Head of the OSCE Presence in Albania, Ambassador Michel Tarran, met today with Mr. Klodjan Braho following his appointment as Head of the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).
Ambassador Tarran congratulated Mr. Braho on his appointment and wished him success in assuming this important and demanding role. Ambassador Tarran reaffirmed the OSCE Presence’s strong support for SPAK and its crucial role in Albania’s justice reform process, highlighting its importance for strengthening the rule of law and enhancing public trust in Albania’s democratic institutions”.
During the meeting, Ambassador Tarran and Mr. Braho discussed ongoing and future co-operation between the OSCE Presence and SPAK, including support through capacity-building activities, policy advice and the sharing of international best practices.
The Head of Presence reiterated the OSCE Presence’s continued commitment to supporting Albania’s justice institutions and welcomed Mr. Braho’s views on how co-operation can be further strengthened to effectively address corruption and organized crime.
