Prime Minister, Edi Rama said Wednesday that if the judicial reform fails, then it is the failure of the Socialist Party and him as premier.

Stressing that these new institutions are cornerstones and that their independence is vital to the country's democratic standards, the Prime Minister adds that their failure would be a major blow to Albania and an excuse for all those who, since 1912, did not give justice its due independence.

Rama says that his government's support for these institutions will be unwavering, while further adding that they will share with the public cases when someone abuses their office and will not allow the lack of standards and abuses.

"Whoever has committed corruption should tremble before justice, whoever does their job should not be afraid of mistakes and no one should dare to treat them as guilty, put pressure on them, take their cell phone hostage and so on. Accusing is easy, proving is difficult, which is why prosecutors and special judges are paid like no one else in this republic and their institutions are supported like no one else by this government." said Rama.
