PM Rama Announces Salary Increase in 2024
Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that during the next year, the average salary will go up to 900 euros in the public sector, as he promised earlier.
He stated that salaries will increase again for those who received a lower increase last year, which will be supplemented with the new budget.
"The budget has a 400 million euro salary increase. And next year, before we predicted it, in the middle of next year, the average salary in Albania will reach 900 euros. This in the public sector, where salaries will increase again, for general practitioners, who were given a lower increase years ago and were told that it will be supplemented with this budget and supplemented with this budget, for nurses, teachers, law enforcement officers, armed forces…
Wages will be competitive with the countries where our young people go to work, in that sector."
At the Extended Assembly of the SP in Durrës, Rama also spoke about the price of energy, while clarifying that a significant figure will be foreseen in the new budget.
"There has been no increase in the price of energy in Albania, but there has been an increase in imports. There has been no increase for the citizens, because the government has covered the difference between the prices so that the bill for each family does not change. Likewise, today, as we prepare the approval of next year's budget, we look at another significant figure."
