PM Pays Visit to Albanian National Team ahead of Moldova Match

The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, was a special guest of the Albanian National Team. He appeared next to the team together with the President of the Albanian Football Association (AFA), Armand Duka, wishing the team success before the match with Moldova, valid for the "Euro 2024" qualifiers.

Apart from jokes, maximum concentration is required on the field to secure a ticket to the finals of the European Championship on Friday.

President Duka was the first to speak, who called on the team to see the duel with Moldova as a final and not count on getting a draw. "None of us can think that this is over, but on the contrary, the higher you go the harder it is.

Moldova is a very strong team, they have not lost a single match at home. But WE, YOU, are still stronger, but you must have maximum concentration. We shouldn't go to Moldova in any way thinking we need a point or to settle, but we should go like all the other games.

You are really better, but you have to show it on the field. I want to thank the Prime Minister once again for being with us today. We must focus on Moldova. The mister says that we have two finals, you think of one final: Moldova", said Duka, wishing that the National Team returns from Moldova with victory.

Then Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke, who praised the team's good performances during the "Euro 2024" qualifying campaign and emphasized that the red and black footballers have honoured the jersey they are wearing.

"To be honest, when I first saw you, I told you to remember that this job has to go well, because these know how to play football. I say this in the sense that we hold the ball. We had some victories before, but to be honest, we didn't keep the ball. Now you are well mixed, some experienced, some young, so I came just to see you, to wish you success. I really hope it goes well. You know your tasks yourself, there is no need for me to show them and talk to you. You have honoured this jersey until now, you have raised the bar and expectations a lot", said Rama in the conversation he had with the footballers and the staff of the National Team.
