Police Target Luxury Cars and Criminal Suspects in Tirana Operation

Albanian State Police carried out a large-scale operation in Tirana targeting luxury vehicles, armored cars and individuals with criminal records, resulting in multiple inspections, detentions and traffic violations.

Police said officers inspected 61 luxury vehicles and checked 82 individuals with previous criminal records. Authorities removed illegally tinted windows from 11 luxury cars, dismantling a total of 61 non-compliant tinted windows, including some installed on windshields.

Five vehicles, including one armored car, were taken to the Tirana Police Directorate for further inspection. Six people were escorted by police after officers allegedly found narcotics, baseball bats and metal batons during the operation, while one driver was caught driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police said the operation is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen public safety and enforce road traffic and criminal laws.
