President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj will conduct an official visit to the municipalities inhabited by Arbëresh people in the Calabria region, at invitation of the Calabrian authorities and the Regional Institute of the Arbëresh community of Calabria. 

From October 20 to 23, Begaj will meet Arbëresh residents living in the municipalities of the provinces of Katanxaro, Krotona and Cozenza, as well as hold meetings with local authorities. 

During the meetings with the local authorities and representatives of the Arber community, he will address topics related to the historical and cultural ties between Albania and the Calabria region. 

Furthermoer the Albanian Head of State will focus on the need to protect the Arberesh language, the possibilities of cooperation in the field of tourism with the Calabria region and the areas where the Arbëreshes live, as well as the opportunities for investments of Calabrian businesses in various fields in Albania.
