President of the Republic, Ilir Meta met this Friday, the Ambassador of Qatar, Ali Bin Hamad Al-Marri in the Presidency. 

Through a post on social networks, Meta says that the ambassador has submitted an invitation from the Emir of Qatar for the Albanian Head of State to pay an official visit to participate in the Fifth United Nations Conference. President Meta says he has accepted the invitation.

It is a special pleasure to welcome today the Ambassador of Qatar, His Holiness Ali Bin Hamad Al-Marri, who personally handed me the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, His Highness, Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, to pay an official visit to Qatar, as well as to attend the Fifth United Nations Conference, to be held early next year in Doha. 

I asked the Ambassador to convey to the Emir of Qatar the warm greetings and heartfelt thanks of the Emir for the invitation, which I accepted with great pleasure. 

On this occasion, I expressed my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the generous assistance of the State of Qatar to Albania and the Albanian people over the years, and assured him of my full support for the strengthening of cooperation and bilateral relations.
