President of Kosovo Football Association Detained

The Basic Prosecutor's Office in Prishtina has said that the president of the Football Association of Kosovo, Agim Ademi, has been given a 48-hour detention, following suspicions of committing criminal offences, "abuse of trust" and "tax evasion". 

In a press release, it was said that the Prosecutor's Office, together with the Kosovo Police, are undertaking investigative actions related to criminal cases. 

Ademi was elected head of the Kosovo Football Association in July 2018. 

"The Basic Prosecutor's Office in Pristina, announces to the public opinion that after undertaking preliminary investigative actions, the State Prosecutor has issued a decision on the arrest of the President of the Football Federation of Kosovo, due to the suspicion of committing criminal offenses 'Misuse of trust', from article 330 and 'Tax avoidance'.

The same, by order of the State Prosecutor, has been sent to detention for a duration of 48 hours, while in coordination with the Police, investigative actions are being taken regarding this criminal case.
