President Recalls Late Midfilder Millo on His Birthday

President of the Republic, Ilir Meta recalled this Sunday one of the icons of Albanian football, late midfielder Lefter Millo, who would celebrate his 54th birthday today. 

Meta declared that Albanian football needs the valuable model of Lefter Milo, who excelled even with the best teams in Greece, for his spirit of competition, desire and determination to win, adding that he is convinced that the Greek minority will give Albanian sports other talents and legends like him. 

The Head of State goes on to say that Millo accidentally passed away at the height of his athleticism, when we all expected him to give his best, to remain forever in our memory as the winner of duels, relentless, energetic and triumphant, for anyone who adored him for his extraordinary character and passion on the green field. 


"As for today 54 years ago, in the beloved Derviçani, was born one of the icons of Albanian football, the energetic midfielder of Luftetari, Partizani and the National Team, Lefter Millo, whom we will always remember with respect and gratitude," President highlighted.
