President Visits National Museum with University of Tirana Students

President of the Republic Ilir Meta visited the National Museum in Tirana.

Meta, through a status on "Facebook" said that he visited the museum with some students of the University of Tirana, while he added that it is important to teach history to the younger generations, guaranteeing the future of the Homeland.

Further, Meta emphasized that Albania must always be smart in defending freedom.

"I am very happy that together with a group of students from different Faculties of the University of Tirana, visited today the Independence Pavilion at the National Historical Museum, where an important part of the glorious epic of the Vlora War of 1920 is exhibited.

It is essential that we teach history to the younger generations, guaranteeing the future of the Homeland. We can not allow the past to be forgotten, because as Ismail Qemali taught us: “A sleeping child grows up. A sleeping nation dies."

Albania must always be smart in defending freedom, as it is not won once and for all, but must be protected at all times by all,” Meta said.
