Prosecutors Search Tirana Tower, Uncover Crypto Wallets Worth Millions

The Special Prosecution Against Corruption (SPAK) and the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH) continued searches on Saturday at the “Green Tower” building in Tirana, where authorities uncovered call centers and dozens of cryptocurrency wallets valued at millions of euros.

Sourced said for albaniandailynews.com that 10 people were arrested during the operation, while two alleged owners have been declared wanted. Among those detained is an Italian citizen, authorities said.

The searches began a day earlier, with investigators inspecting six floors of the building. Operations continued after officials said they identified extensive material evidence. BKH is also taking testimony from individuals linked to the investigation.

The probe is being carried out in cooperation with Italian authorities and is part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal activities related to cryptocurrencies and financial crimes.
