Protests outside Albania’s Parliament escalated on Tuesday evening after the end of a plenary session, with clashes reported between demonstrators and police.
Several protesters threw eggs and water bottles at the car of Socialist Party lawmaker Ilva Gjuzi as she left the Parliament premises following the session.
One protester also kicked the vehicle, reportedly breaking one of its side mirrors.
During the confrontations, Adriatik Lapaj, a prominent figure among the protesters, was also taken into police custody.
