Renown Albanian Ambassador Passes Away at 68

Well-known Albanian ambassador Hajdar Muneka has passed away at the age of 68. President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, through a post on social media, has expressed his condolences to the family, while he says that Muneka has made a valuable contribution to the history of Albanian diplomacy. 

"I learned the sad news of the untimely death of Ambassador Hajdar Muneka, with long experience and valuable contribution to the history of Albanian diplomacy. 

Ambassador Muneka has been for many years part of the Albanian diplomatic corps serving with dignity and professionalism, a prominent model of a correct and dedicated official. 

I express my sincere condolences to his family, our diplomatic corps, his many associates and friends. May he rest in peace", writes Meta. 

For a long time the ambassador was suffering from a serious illness, with which he fought to the end, but without being able to win this battle. 

Hajdar Muneka contributed for years to Albanian diplomatic service and was a very good connoisseur of Asian affairs. He was the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania in China and Malaysia, and Not resident in Singapore, South Korea Bangladesh, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and others.
