The head of the list of candidates for MPs of the Democratic Party in Gjirokastra Region, Prof. Dr. Tritan Shehu, has filed this Friday morning in the prosecution a criminal report against seven mayors of the Region.

According to Shehu, the latter have violated the law several times, mainly for not making public spaces available to political entities for advertising electoral posters within the deadlines set by law. "In addition, some other violations that conflict with the articles of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Albania", declares Shehu.

Part of the voluminous dossier, which Shehu submitted, have also been leaders of various public institutions, who put pressure on employees of the administration in order to dictate the vote and its orientation in favour of the ruling party.

"The open participation of these heads of institutions in the working hours is another violation that aggravates them and for which they will bear criminal responsibility. Concrete facts and evidence have been submitted today, catching in flagrante delicto the leaders who are accused of violations", he emphasizes.

Shehi did not make public the names of the heads of the institutions, but guaranteed that they would become public after they were deposited in the prosecution.
