Six Kurbin Municipality Officials Reported at SPAK for Tenders Abuse
Supreme State Audit has submitted to the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) criminal reportings against 6 officials of the Municipality of Kurbin who have been caught in tenders-related violations.
In the press release, the State Audit stated that from the control exercised from the period 01.01.2019 - 30.06.2020, violations were found for the procurement procedure for the construction of the external and internal network of the Water Supply of Laç.
“The Supreme State Audit, in the capacity of the highest institution of economic and financial control of central and local government bodies, has conducted an audit at the Municipality of Kurbin for the period 01.01.2019 - 30.06.2020.
From this audit were ascertained a series of violations and irregularities related to the procurement procedure with object 'Construction of external and internal water supply network of the city of Laç phase I, Kurbin Municipality', which are contrary to the law on public procurement and bylaws adopted in its implementation.
In relation to these violations, the Supreme State Audit has filed with the Special Prosecutor's Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime the criminal charges against six officials of the Municipality of Kurbin for the criminal offense 'Violation of equality of participants in public tenders or auctions', provided by Article 258 of the Criminal Code", it is said in the notification.
