Socialists Reshuffle Regional Leadership, Appoint New Political Coordinators

Allbania’s ruling Socialist Party has unveiled a sweeping reorganization of its political leadership across the country, with Prime Minister Edi Rama signaling a renewed push to strengthen party structures ahead of upcoming challenges.
The changes, announced during a party assembly, introduce a new political dynamic in key regions, particularly in the capital Tirana, which will now be jointly led by Taulant Balla and Ogerta Manastirliu. Balla will also take on an additional role as the party’s political coordinator for the diaspora.
The reshuffle extends to several municipal units in Tirana, where Damian Gjiknuri will support party operations in Unit 4, while Elisa Spiropali will oversee Unit 13. Eduard Shalsi has been reassigned from Kukës to contribute to efforts in the capital.
In northern Albania, newly elected MP Erion Malaj has been tasked with leading the party’s work in Kukës. Ulsi Manja returns to Dibër, while newly appointed Defense Minister Ermal Nufi will take charge in Lezhë. In Shkodër, Benet Beci steps down, making way for Enea Karakaçi, another new figure in Rama’s fourth government.
Blendi Klosi will now lead the party in Durrës, replacing Emiriana Sako. Several key figures have been reconfirmed in their roles, including Belinda Balluku in Fier, Arbjan Mazniku in Elbasan, Ervin Demo in Berat, and Bledi Çuçi in Vlorë.
